Astral Travel for Toddlers

Has anyone else had experience with this? We think our son is "visiting" other places in the night. On two separate occasions, we've observed the following when going into his room at night to check on him:

He is sitting straight up in the corner of his crib, cross-legged, with his hands resting in his lap. His eyes are open and he is staring straight ahead. He does not notice us enter and does not respond to our voice. At first, we think this is very funny. We say, "Oh look! He's meditating!" But as we continue to wave our hands in front of his face, touch his shoulder and say his name, all to no avail, we become a bit concerned. After a minute or so, he shakes his head slightly, looks at us and smiles. He's back.

Hmmm... I wonder if he'll remember these experiences when he's old enough to explain them to us.

I love the concept of baby/toddler meditation. Now if I can just teach my girls how to do it multiple times a day...
